About Us

Los Abuelos' Farm and the Menendez Sisters

Our family farm is nestled in Kealakekua, on the Kona Coast of the Big Island, Hawaii.   Owned by The Menendez Family Trust since 2021.  It is operated by “the sisters” Yvanna Menendez, & Gabby Taumoefolau with her husband Mauna Taumoefolau.  Los Abuelos' Farm is the recognition of this new generation to their ancestors ‘the grandparents” after the sisters’ paternal grandparents and Mauna’s grandparents passed away within the last 4 years (the past), the sister’s maternal grandmother, Rosita, who still with us (the present) and the sisters' parents who recently became grandparents for the first time (the future).

The family farm is a unique fruit farm, which grows Kaimana Lychee, Longon, Meyer Lemons, Tahitian Limes, and Oranges. Our lychee orchard has matured during a decade of family love and care. All the produce is hand-picked for perfect ripeness and premium quality to produce the best and most delicious ("ono" in the Hawaiian language) for retail and wholesale customers. As a result, today our orchard produces the best fruits you can find on the Big Island.
